Policy Briefing at California State Capitol

The SHARE Program and California Latinas for Reproductive Justice (CLRJ) presented a policy briefing at the California State Capitol on August 23. This event was held to inform the Sacramento policy community of findings from our community-based participatory research (CBPR) called Mi Salud, Mi Voz (My Health, My Voice). Our research project was conducted with Latinas in the San Joaquin Valley. We partnered with community members as co-researchers and used photo voice and survey methodologies to identify community concerns on health care access and the overall well-being of individuals in the community. Our research presentation to the legislative community at the California State Capitol may inform policy on healthcare access for Latinas.
